About us

Co-founders and current worker-owners, Estefany Londoño & Pia Desangles have been interpreting together since 2019. Both bilingual in English and Spanish, both of them grew up in vibrant immigrant communities, and began language work early in their careers. Together they have over 20 years experience in language work as well as movement work based in Central Florida.

We also work with a network of over 20 professional interpreters/translators specializing in a wide array of subject matter.

Language Justice:

(n) the practice and principle of ensuring that all people have equitable access to communication in the language they know best. It recognizes that language is not only a tool for communication but also a core part of identity, culture, and power. Language justice demands more than offering multilingual support; it means dismantling language-based barriers and respecting the right of individuals to express themselves fully, with dignity, in their own language.

History

The members of the collective have been interpreting together as independent contractors since 2018 and organizing the collective since around that time as well. Incorporated officially in 2021.
